Chocolate Ganache

Chocolate ganache is such a rich and decadent topping you can add to any dessert to take it to the next level. It is also crazy easy to make. Once you try it, you’ll understand just how rich and decadent it is, and you’ll want to add it to everything!

I love this recipe because you can truly do so many things with it. I used it as a filling in my Chocolate Cherry Bars and I’m going to swirl it into a homemade ice cream recipe I’m working on. You can really get creative with it, plus telling people you made somehting with chocolate ganache sounds impressive.

I drizzle it on so many cakes and cupcakes, and this chocolate peanut butter cake is probably one of my personal favorties. You really need to try it, and let me know what you make with it!

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 Cup Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • Pour heavy cream into saucepan and place over medium heat. Allow cream to heat until bubbles start to form, but do not let boil.
  • Once cream is hot, remove from heat and whisk in the chocolate chips until smooth.
  • Drizzle over ice cream or your favorite dessert or store in an airtight container in the fridge to enjoy later!

Notes

  • you can use any kind of chocolate, however, I prefer dark chocolate for a richer ganache
  • if you store in the fridge before using, heat the ganache in the microwave for 30-second intervals to make it smooth and runny again
