I absolutely love anything red velvet! So when I saw someone take some regular brownies and turn them into red velvet brownies, I knew I had to give it a try! These brownies are soft, chewy, velvety, and loaded with chocolate.

I mean just look at that chocolatey, chewy goodness. I really think you’ll like them!

Red Velvet Brownies
ooey gooey chocolate brownies with a twist
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp red food coloring
- 2 eggs
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla flavoring
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Heat oven to 350° F.
- Whisk butter and both sugars in large bowl until combined. Add food coloring and mix. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each. Whisk in the salt and vanilla.
- Add the cocoa powder and flour and mix until well combined. Stir in the chocolate chips. Place into a greased 8×8 baking dish. I like to sprinkle a little extra chocolate on top here.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until done. Enjoy 😉
Notes
- Chocolate chunks may be hard to find as they don’t sell them at every grocery store, however, I love them because they are like extra big chocolate chips so they really make these brownies chocolatey and gooey.
